The nights are getting darker and this weeks session felt like we were running in the middle of the night, even though it was only 5.30!
Maybe the club prefers it this way because without a doubt, everybody gave their biggest efforts to date.
Here is a break down of the session:
– warm up jog
– drills incl lunges, high knees, side steps etc.
– Sprints varying between 50% effort and 80%
– 4 mins at 10k pace, 4 mins at 5k pace (1 min rest) REPEAT.
– 1 min at 70% (15 sec jog) 45 seconds 80% (2 min recovery) x3
– cool down jog
I congratulated everybody on their efforts and they all just gave me death stares, sweat dripping down their faces. (I know they loved it really and I’m sure they’ll be back for more next week).
